Health Content & Orientation Audit

You have content. Do you know where it loses people?

Most health organizations don't have an information problem. They have an orientation problem.

A fixed-scope review of your existing content or patient journey — where people get stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next — with a prioritized, written list of what to fix first. No rebuild required to start.

18+ years of experience within the German healthcare system · Independent digital health media and orientation projects · Fixed scope, no commitment beyond the audit itself

Content can be accurate and still fail the person reading it.

A working definition

An orientation audit doesn't ask whether your content is correct. It asks whether someone under stress, mid-decision, can actually use it to figure out their next step.

Health literacy research consistently shows that people under stress — worried, in pain, facing a diagnosis or a decision they don't fully understand — process information differently. Cognitive load rises, and even well-written, medically accurate content can become difficult to absorb or act on.

This audit walks through your existing content or a specific patient journey the way a real visitor would, at the moments that matter most — not a general readability scan, but a structured look at where orientation breaks down.

Not just a description of the method. A worked example.

Rather than a hypothetical before-and-after, you can see this exact method applied to a real page: a structural review covering the orientation gap, the cognitive load, the missing next step, and a priority matrix — the same approach used in this audit.

A low-commitment way to start working together — organizations testing the fit before a larger content or architecture project:

What exactly do you review?

Existing website content, patient-facing pages, or a specific patient journey — for example an information hub, a signup or intake flow, or a diagnosis-to-decision pathway. You point me to what matters most; the audit is scoped around that.

Is this the same as a UX audit?

The surface is similar, the lens is different. General UX or content agencies review usability and conversion. This audit reviews the same material through a health-literacy and nervous-system lens — how content lands with someone under stress or facing a health decision, not just whether they can click through it.

Do you rewrite the content too?

The audit itself is diagnostic. Rewriting or restructuring can be scoped as a separate follow-on engagement — plain-language rewriting or a full content architecture project — once the findings are reviewed.

How is pricing structured for larger content libraries?

The starting price covers a fixed-scope audit of a defined content area or patient journey. Larger content libraries, multiple journeys, or multi-market content are scoped and quoted individually after a short initial review.
